Jersey was issued and not worn for the 2014 National Championship game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. 2014 was a historic season for both Mariota and the Oregon Ducks. Marcus won the Heisman trophy. As well he lead his team to a PAC 12 championship, a Rose Bowl win over the undefeated defending champion Florida State Seminoles and a birth in the National Championship.
